Why Choose Natural Therapies for Horses and Other Equids

Horses and other equids are meant to move, to graze, and cover ground, so rehab for an injured or ill horse can be a critical time with many stresses, both physical and emotional affecting them. When all the parts of the horse are taken into consideration and their body, emotions and mind are taken into account you have true holistic healing taking place. The therapies I provide do not replace veterinary care, but rather they work in partnership. In fact, horses are referred to me by local veterinarians.

In my practice I place an emphasis on a holistic healing approach to aid animals in recovery from all types of injury and illness. The first step is to identify the core issue that is at the root of the symptoms being exhibited. Sometimes that's easy, like a cut or wound you can see. Other times a root cause might start with - my horse doesn't want to bend to the left. If the vet has ruled out a physical injury or problem, there is possibly something else like saddle fit, or tight muscles from working hard. These can be found and relieved through equine massage techniques, photonic light therapy, REIKI, or pulsed magnetic blanket.

Whatever the cause, I work in partnership with your vet, ferrier, trainer,  and other professionals to find the right course of therapies.
